Waterfront homes are why Mark 1 exists. Salt air corrodes standard outlets in a season, boat lifts eat contactors, and most electricians treat a dock like it's just an extension cord. It isn't. Dock and marine electrical is governed by NEC Article 555 — different bonding, different GFCI rules, different equipment ratings — and getting it wrong is how people get hurt.
We handle the full waterfront scope: dock outlets, lift motor install and replacement, shore power, seawall bonding, and landscape and dock lighting that survives South Florida weather.
Boat lift motor install & replacement
New lift wiring, replacement motors (2HP to 5HP), controller repairs, and code-compliant weatherproof enclosures. If the lift keeps tripping the breaker, that's usually a bonded-ground or moisture-ingress problem — not the motor. We diagnose before we replace.
Dock outlets & shore power
Weatherproof GFCI outlets, marine shore power pedestals (30A / 50A), and dedicated circuits sized to the load. Every outlet is on its own GFCI per code, mounted at a height that survives storm surge.
Marine-grade lighting
Dock lighting, seawall lighting, and underwater fixtures. Marine-grade LED fixtures rated for salt exposure, wired with tinned marine cable, and controlled from the house.
Seawall bonding & grounding
Any metallic seawall, ladder, or handrail needs to be bonded to the electrical system. This is life-safety code — a missed bond can put voltage into the water. We inspect and correct.
NEC 555 compliance & inspections
Passing a marine inspection is not the same as passing a residential one. We know what the AHJ looks for and build to it the first time — permit pulled, load calc done, walk-through documented.

Do you work on canals and inlets in addition to the Intracoastal?
Yes. Anywhere in Broward or Palm Beach with a dock, seawall, or boat lift — canals in Fort Lauderdale, inlets in Boca and Delray, Intracoastal from Lighthouse Point down through Pompano. If it's water-adjacent, we work on it.
Can you install a lift on a new dock, or only repair existing ones?
Both. New installs, retrofits, and repairs. We coordinate with the dock builder on lift specs so the electrical is sized right on day one.
What does a code-compliant dock outlet look like?
Weatherproof GFCI, in-use cover, mounted above high-water line, on its own dedicated circuit, and bonded per NEC 555. If yours doesn't look like that, it needs to be replaced before someone gets hurt.
