Custom Lighting Design
Recessed layouts, chandeliers, cove lighting, landscape and dock — engineered to the space.
Lighting is architecture. Done well, it changes how a room feels — makes ceilings look higher, kitchens look bigger, backyards look expensive. Done badly, it's a grid of harsh cans on a switch. We do the first kind.
Every custom lighting project starts with a plan: fixture placement, dimming zones, color temperature, and control scheme. Then we install it clean.
Recessed lighting layouts
Designed to the room, not a spec-house grid. Correct fixture spacing, beam angles, and dimming zones. LED trims that match the ceiling.
Chandelier & pendant install
Foyer, dining, kitchen island. Heavy fixtures get properly rated fan-boxes and are hung level to the eye, not to the ceiling.
Cove & cabinet lighting
Under-cabinet, toe-kick, cove and tray-ceiling lighting. Clean tape-light routing with dedicated drivers and no visible transformers.
Landscape & dock lighting
Path lights, uplighting, tree lighting, and dock lighting. Low-voltage runs sized properly so the far fixtures aren't dim.
Smart controls & dimming
Lutron, Leviton, and integrated smart-home control. Scenes for cooking, entertaining, and shutdown-for-the-night.
Before you call.
Can you match what my designer specified?
Yes. If you have a lighting plan from an interior designer or architect, we can execute it as-drawn or flag anything that's going to be a problem before we install.
Do you handle Lutron and smart-home integration?
Yes — Lutron Caseta, RA3, and third-party smart switches. We do the wiring and initial commissioning.
LED color temperature — what should I pick?
2700K for living/dining/bedroom warmth, 3000K for kitchens and baths, 3500K only in offices or garages. Consistency across a room matters more than the exact number.
