The name is the standard.
Mark 1 — from the aviation designation Mark I, the first-of-model, engineered to spec. That's the standard: real load calculations, neat panels, labeled circuits, and a walk-through with photos before we leave.
Mark started Mark 1 Electric out of Pompano Beach because he wanted to build a shop where the person quoting the job is the person doing the work. That structural decision — owner-on-site — is the whole thing. It removes the classic contractor failure mode: the estimator promises one thing, the crew shows up and does another, and there's nobody accountable when it doesn't add up.
What "precision" actually means here.
Everyone in electrical claims to be "professional." Most aren't. Precision, for us, is measurable:
- Real load calculations. Before we install a generator, add an EV charger, or upgrade a panel — we do the math, not a guess.
- Labeled circuits. Every breaker in every panel we touch gets a real label with the actual room and load, not "kitchen."
- Photographed finish work. Panels get photographed inside and out at completion. You get the photos. If it isn't neat enough to photograph, it isn't done.
- Permits pulled every time. Not "no permit needed for that." If code says it needs one, we pull one.
- Fixed-price quotes. Before work starts. No open clock, no surprise line items.
Why waterfront matters.
Mark 1 covers full-service residential and commercial electrical, but the waterfront specialty — dock outlets, boat lifts, marine lighting, seawall bonding — is where we became the guys who show up when everyone else has tried something. Salt air is a design constraint, not an obstacle, and NEC 555 has different rules than what most residential electricians work with day to day.

If Mark doesn't personally sign off on it, it doesn't leave the job. That's not a slogan, it's the operating structure.
