We install Generac, Kohler, and Cummins standby units, sized to your actual electrical load, wired to a transfer switch, and hooked to natural gas or propane.
Load calculation first
Before we quote a generator size we do a real load calc — not a guess based on square footage. Under-sized generators cook themselves; over-sized ones cost thousands more than they need to.
Transfer switch install
Automatic transfer switch that senses the outage and cuts over in seconds, whole-house or essential-loads panel depending on what you want covered.
Permit & inspection
Every generator install requires a permit, gas coordination, and final AHJ inspection. We handle the paperwork so you don't.
Fuel source coordination
Natural gas hookup with your gas company, or new propane tank placement and lines. We spec the fuel side end-to-end.
Annual maintenance
Standby generators need annual service to stay warranty-compliant. We offer maintenance plans that keep the unit under warranty and ready to run.
Before you call.
What size generator do I need?
Depends on your load and what you want to keep running. A 22kW unit covers most 3-4 bedroom South Florida homes with AC; larger homes with pool equipment and dual AC often need 26kW+. We calculate it, not guess.
Natural gas or propane?
If you have city gas at the meter, natural gas is easier — no tank to fill. If you don't, propane is fine, but you need a tank sized for multi-day outages (typically 500-1000 gallons for standby use).
How long does install take?
Usually 1-2 days on-site once the permit is pulled and equipment is delivered. Permit + delivery is often the longer wait; plan on 4-8 weeks total.
